My Go-To "I'm Sick and Want To Feel Better" Tea

You tried and you tried, but the sniffler one cubicle down from you finally infected you. You can start to feel a little rawness at the back of your throat, or start with a little sniffling yourself. Whatever your warning signs are, they are going off! When I'm in this state, I make myself some tea. You might want to pin this one to use at a later date! Ingredients: 2C hot Broth (ideally home made, but you do what you gotta do) 1-2 cloves of garlic, crushed 1/2 lemon, juice 1/2 tsp turmeric 1/4 tsp cayenne 1-2 tsp honey

1 tbsp grated fresh ginger 1/4-1/2 tsp cinnamon Method: There isn't much to this - just add everything together. It'll be spicy, which is good. The warming herbs here (things that make you feel hot): garlic; ginger; cinnamon; cayenne, help to increase your body temperature to better improve the ability of your body to fight of viruses and bacteria. The garlic acts as to kill bacteria. The lemon not only masks the garlic taste but also boost your detoxification to push out any bad guys from the digestive tract. Bonus: When you go to bed in the evening, warming socks will also help increase the body temperature to kill bad guys. You just wet cotton socks in the sink with cold water, and ring them out so they aren't dripping water everywhere. Then put on dry wool socks overtop. Overnight, your body will work to warm up the socks. I guarantee that you will wake up with dry socks.
